Topics to Build Your Customized Program

Signs and Stages of Birth

Understand what to expect from the first signs of labour to holding your baby in your arms. Learn how to time contractions, recognize each stage of labour, and understand the terminology your care providers will use.

Birth Preferences

Move beyond a traditional “birth plan” with a flexible, rolling plan that advocates for your values while preparing for birth’s unpredictability. Learn your birth facility’s protocols, understand the tools available, and feel confident in making choices that reflect what’s most important to you.

Comfort Measures

Build a toolkit of strategies to help you manage contractions and stay grounded. Explore positions, massage techniques, breathing practices, and how your support team can help. Learn how to approach early labour, maximize comfort with an epidural, and stay calm during a cesarean birth.

Infant Feeding

Gain a clear understanding of how lactation works and what to expect in the early days. Learn about latching, positions, hand expression, pumping, milk storage, and formula preparation. Walk away with a personalized plan for your feeding journey and clarity on when to seek extra support.

Newborn Care (Baby 101)

Practical, hands-on tools for the early days and nights with your newborn. Learn diapering, burping, soothing, safe sleep, bathing, and more. Start with confidence rather than trial-and-error.

Baby Registry and Household Planning

Make confident choices without the overwhelm of endless lists or conflicting advice. This session helps you explore what products and systems will work best for your family, based on your goals, parenting style, and home setup. Learn what most new parents actually use, what often becomes clutter, and how to create a registry that sets you up for success.

Add-On Mini Classes

Enhance any class with an additional 30 minutes of instruction.

Prenatal preparation and baby care education aren’t just for first-time families. Many parents choose to refresh their knowledge, update their skills, or focus on new priorities the second (or third) time around. For families welcoming another baby, we also offer Sibling Prep as an optional add-on. This focused 30-minute session helps prepare your older child or children for their new role, creating more confidence and ease for the whole family.

Each add-on is designed to be paired with any of our prenatal classes, giving you the flexibility to personalize your learning with extra support on the topics most meaningful to you.

Sibling Prep

Help your older child feel confident, included, and excited about becoming a big sibling. This add-on session supports families through the transition of welcoming a new baby, with age-appropriate strategies to ease common challenges like regression, tantrums, or attention-seeking behaviors. Parents gain practical tips for fostering connection, while children engage in hands-on activities that teach gentle touch, patience, and “baby rules” in a fun, interactive way. Together, we’ll explore how your child can step into their new role with pride, making the transition smoother for the whole family.
